Erica Dahl
Director, Policy and Public Affairs
Erica Dahl is a seasoned government relations executive with a proven track record of advancing corporate policy objectives through strategic advocacy. With expertise in legislative and regulatory affairs, she has successfully engaged with local, state, and federal governments; trade associations; and key stakeholders to shape policy and protect business interests across industries including energy, healthcare, & financial services in companies ranging from start-ups to $14B. Erica is known for her ability to build influential relationships, drive policy change, and secure outcomes worth millions of dollars.
She served on the board of The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), a Washington D.C.-based organization that advances leadership opportunities for over 5,000 women in college across 46 states. Erica has also held board positions with The Road Home, Utah's largest homeless services provider; the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Junior League of Salt Lake; and CALSSA, where she promoted clean energy technologies and industry advocacy.
Erica is the Vice President of Policy at Scale Microgrids, where she is spearheading the development of the company’s inaugural policy platform. Since joining in June 2023, she has successfully advocated for revenue-impacting policy changes, including federal tax credit extensions and improved project financing regulations. She also established the company's political contribution program and secured a national trade association board seat for the COO.
Previously, she served as Head of Policy at ChargeNet Stations where she crafted a policy roadmap to support public EV fast charging infrastructure. As VP of Government Relations at Findhelp, she established the company’s inaugural government relations strategy, and at Vivint Solar, she spearheaded public policy efforts that resulted in multimillion-dollar benefits through tax credit extensions and industry advocacy. Erica also held roles at Intermountain Healthcare, where she safeguarded the organization’s nonprofit status. At Bank of America, she managed government relations across multiple states and saved millions in tax liabilities.
Erica has a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from St. Lawrence University. Her early career was shaped by internships with U.S. Representative Brian Bilbray and U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, where she gained valuable insights into public-private partnerships. Erica has received multiple awards, including Utah Business Magazine 30 Women to Watch and St. Lawrence University's Alumni Award. She serves as a public speaker and is an active member of Athena Alliance. She has been married for 20 years and is an avid global traveller. She and her family are passionate art collectors and actively engaged in supporting the University of Utah Museum of Fine Arts and the New Museum in New York City.
