The microgrid built by Scale Microgrids for a cold storage facility owned by Origo Investments and operated by Amond World in Madera, California, addresses these challenges head-on. By taking control of their electricity supply needs, Origo will start operations sooner than if it had waited in the PG&E interconnection queue, while also saving on energy costs, reducing emissions, and providing farmers with 100% reliable cold storage.
