On June 17, Tim McDuffie, Scale's Sr. Business Development Manager, presented on a webinar hosted by the Association of California Water Utilities (ACWA), California's the largest statewide coalition of public water agencies in the country. See webinar details below.
Session Title: "Turning electricity reliability challenges into an opportunity to save on energy costs."
Session Description: From energy efficiency upgrades to installing solar panels, California’s water agencies have long been at the forefront of energy trends. Today, a new opportunity for leadership is emerging: the adoption of battery-powered microgrids. By integrating existing on-site energy resources like backup generators and solar arrays with cutting-edge battery and controller technologies, microgrids provide enhanced resilience against growing wildfire risks as well as cost savings to combat California’s fast-rising electricity prices. On June 17, Scale Microgrids, a leading national microgrid developer, will hold a webinar to discuss several microgrid projects it is currently building for California water agencies, the benefits these types of projects offer for the water sector, and the government incentives and innovative financing models available to ensure these projects deliver cost savings from day one.
